The havoc of Hurricane Arthur’s visit just before the 5th left blue skies all the way to heaven and not a chance of rain for UFO Day at the Aerodrome. As pilots, you know that usually means high winds and so it was. But it was a squeaker and the airshow boss gave the winds every chance to lose some of their exuberance but ultimately chose to cancel at the last minute. Safety first.

Nevertheless, the 31 members and friends who came out enjoyed a personal guided tour of the museum hangars and the museum building itself. Not all made it into the group photo and I take responsibility for that.

New acquaintances were made and old ones renewed and that is what the UFO is all about. We were honored to have UFO Director John Sullivan and his wife Pat in attendance among the happy crowd.
