Dec 6, 2017 – The Northeast Region closed out the year with a popular Manhattan dining experience, this year at the renowned 21 Club in the heart of New York City. Fourteen members and guests gathered around the tables for some good conversation and good old camaraderie around the subject of aviation.

For Jeff and Darlene Koonce it was their first time at a UFO event. Jeff authored the book “Human Factors in the Training of Pilots” which includes interesting coverage on aging and pilot skills. Lillian and Bernie Asher were grounded by the threat of icing conditions and chose not to make the trip in their Malibu as planned. But not to miss the luncheon they drove the 360 miles to be with us. We were impressed.

The one dark spot was the recent loss of one of our members, Norman Baker, in a pre-Thanksgiving day accident enroute to his family in Vermont for the Holiday. Otherwise it was a joyous event and a good time was had by all.
