Aug 24, 2019 – UFOs invaded the Maine Aviation Museum at the Bangor International Airport (KBGR) on Saturday August 24th. Thirty-three had registered to attend, and a group of 23 arrived by wings and wheels starting at 10:30. A tour of the museum was the first order of business, along with Mary Gibouleau’s famous coffee cake, pumpkin bread and all the fixin’s. This Museum has an awful lot in it, and everyone enjoyed the many displays. With only 17 actual UFOs in Maine, (some are unable to travel and attend), the attending group appeared quite enthusiastic and happy! Just before lunch the group gathered for pictures. WABI TV ran a short story about the group and museum that evening on the early and late news. Everyone then traveled the 1.2 miles to Nicky’s Crusin’ Restaurant to enjoy lunch with 1950s and 60s themed items displayed on every wall and ceiling! From there it was back to the museum to catch up on what may have been missed the first time through. After the news completed their interviews and pictures, the group pulled the chocks and departed.
