Sep 2, 2020 – The latest North Texas meeting had a total of eight members attending including a member from the Illinois area. Member Pat Boyle joined in as a guest and believe it or not he says he will be back again. He also indicated an interest in doing similar meetings in the Illinois area.

This meeting lasted about 2 ½ hours. Yes, some members had other engagements and left early.

This was the third Zoom meeting we have held and from the reception received we plan to continue these Zoom meetings each first wednesday of the month at 12:00 Central time. Anyone is welcome, just let us know and we will add you to the “invite” list.

The meeting covered several topics from PIC and Flight Reviews, to Ultralights and LSAs. Quite a lively discussion. We are proud to have so many current flight instructors among our members. There is a tremendous amount of experience in this crowd, and several love to tell their stories. Of course, tall tales as well as some actual events are genuinely enjoyed by all. A lot of good information was exchanged at this meeting. We touched lightly on insurance and will continue the talk on this subject as we go along. I’m certain it is a very important issue with those of us who own and operate aircraft.

Screen shots of some of the action. The group picture shows the contributor’s names in the lower left corner of the shot. The second is of Felix showing off his background. This is a neat way to cover up anything in your normal background you might prefer to keep secret. Maybe more of us will try this in the future.
